Private Transfers to Federal
Federal is a village in the Byron Bay hinterland, north west of Bangalow in the rainforest country above the coast. It is small, green and genuinely remote in feel, which is why it attracts retreats, wedding venues and people who want to be properly away from things.
Getting to Federal
The roads in are narrow, winding and unlit, and mobile coverage is unreliable. Properties sit well back with long, often unsealed driveways. This is not a self drive after a long flight, and it is not somewhere to be looking for a turn off in the dark.

The Licence Rule
We may run Queensland to NSW and NSW to Queensland, but not NSW to NSW.
- Gold Coast Airport (OOL) to Federal, yes
- Brisbane Airport (BNE) to Federal, yes
- Federal back to a Queensland airport, yes
- Ballina (BNK) to Federal, no. Both ends are in NSW
Most guests therefore fly into Gold Coast or Brisbane. Compare both fixed prices before booking flights.

Time Zones
Between October and April NSW observes daylight saving and Queensland does not, so Federal runs an hour ahead of the Gold Coast. Every booking is quoted and confirmed in the pickup point's time zone, in writing.
