It is about 120 km from Cabarita Beach to Brisbane Airport, and we allow 86 to 96 minutes for the drive. Cabarita Beach is a thin strip of beach side land on the Coral Sea coast, east of Tweed Coast Road, inside the Tweed Shire town of Bogangar. The two names are the same place, Bogangar is the postal name, and most residents say Cabarita Beach, so a booking made under either one goes to the same pickup. The village is 21 km south of Tweed Heads and 48 km north of Byron Bay. Hastings Point is the next village south, Casuarina the next north.
The route
Cabarita Beach is strung along a single spine road. The NSW tourism listing for the beach itself gives its address as simply "Tweed Coast Road, Cabarita Beach NSW 2488", which tells you most of what you need to know about how a car gets in and out.
From the village there are two sensible ways to the motorway. Clothiers Creek Road runs inland from Cabarita Beach through Clothiers Creek and Tanglewood to the M1 Pacific Motorway, with Cudgen Nature Reserve less than a kilometre west of the village along it. Or the car heads north along Tweed Coast Road toward Chinderah and joins the motorway there.
The motorway stretch beside Cabarita is the Yelgun to Chinderah section: 28.5 km, opened on 4 August 2002. It has exactly three grade separated interchanges, Cudgera Creek Road, Clothiers Creek Road and Tweed Valley Way (north), and no others, so a car serving Cabarita joins or leaves at one of those or not at all.
One thing to keep in mind from 2026 onward: Tweed Shire Council is widening 6.1 km of Tweed Coast Road to four lanes between Morton Street, Chinderah and Grand Parade, Casuarina, a $79 million job, with the priority stages scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026 and take about 18 months. That is live roadwork on one of the two approaches out of the village, so we build extra time into the pickup rather than hoping.
The last stretch at the Cabarita end is local roads, and we plan for that rather than pretending the whole trip runs at motorway speed.

Why a booked private car suits this run
The case for booking ahead here is about supply, not luxury.
There is no passenger rail on the Tweed Coast, and there has not been since the last XPT left Murwillumbah on 15 May 2004, ending 110 years of rail service in the region. The corridor is not coming back either: it was formally closed on 23 September 2020 so the Northern Rivers Rail Trail could be built, and the Murwillumbah to Crabbes Creek stretch is now a mixed use pathway.
The public bus serving this part of the coast is Surfside Buslines route 603, listed by Transport for NSW as "Pottsville to Tweed Mall via Tweed Valley Hospital", running via Hastings Point, Cabarita Beach and Chinderah. It is a local coastal service, it is not ours, and it does not go to Brisbane Airport.
Add the scale of the place, the Bogangar locality recorded 3,313 people at the 2021 Census, and the sensible thing for a 120 km airport trip is a car that is already booked, already has the address, and is already there when you walk out with the bags. The car is private and never shared.
Pickup at Cabarita Beach
Give us the street address you will actually be standing at, not just the town. That might be a holiday house off Tweed Coast Road, Halcyon House at 21 Cypress Crescent, the Cabarita Beach Bowls & Sports Club on Cabarita Road, Bogangar, or Tweed Holiday Parks Hastings Point just south of the village, which fills in exactly the school holiday weeks. Unit numbers and gate codes belong in the booking notes, not in a phone call at 4 am. If your booking says Bogangar and your friend's says Cabarita Beach, that is the same drop off; do not book two cars.
One parking note: Tweed Shire Council runs free timed parking in the main business area at Cabarita, and the beachside car parks carry an overnight restriction of no parking between 11 pm and 5 am. That limits where a car can sit, not where it can pull up, so the driver comes to your address at the agreed time rather than waiting by the sand.
On the return leg from Brisbane Airport we track the flight and adjust. You get 60 minutes of free waiting on international arrivals and 45 on domestic, and the driver meets you inside with a name board rather than texting from a car park.

Yes. We are a Queensland licensed operator and we can pick up in New South Wales when the drop off is in Queensland, which is exactly what this trip is: Brisbane Airport is in Queensland. What we cannot do is a New South Wales pickup that also ends in New South Wales.
What about the time difference?
Brisbane Airport is in Queensland and runs on Queensland time year round. Queensland does not observe daylight saving and New South Wales does, so for part of the year the clock at Cabarita Beach and the clock at the airport are an hour apart. We set pickups against your flight and confirm in writing which clock we mean.
Do you have child seats, and is there a charge?

The one thing we cannot do is a New South Wales pickup with a New South Wales drop off, so a run south to Byron or Ballina is not a job we can take.
What if the flight is delayed on the way back?
